# Getting started

> How to get into Geenius Chat, which plan you need, and your first conversation. Chat is in early access.

Geenius Chat is in early access. This page says how to get in and what your first steps are.

> Chat lets people in a few at a time, and payments are in test mode.

## What you can do today

1. **Look at the plans.** Chat is not on sale yet. See [plans and limits](/docs/plans-and-limits/).
2. **Request access.** Leave your email on the [request-access page](/request-access/). We write back when your seat is ready.
3. **Tell us what you need.** The [contact page](/contact/) has a feature-request form. It helps us decide what to open first.

## Your first conversation

1. **Sign in.** Press Sign in and use the account you already have. Chat checks that your plan includes it. See [signing in](/docs/sign-in/).
2. **Write a message.** Ask a question or hand over a task. The assistant answers with a fast model chosen for you; picking one yourself comes later. See [models and providers](/docs/models/).
3. **Follow up.** Say what to change and the answer changes; the conversation keeps what was said. Longer tasks that take steps and resume after a break come next. See [runs](/docs/runs/).
4. **Come back to it.** Your conversation stays in your list of threads, newest first. See [threads](/docs/threads/).

## Good to know

- Session and weekly limits come from your plan. The app will show both.
- Chat starts on the web, made to install like an app. A phone app is planned and has no date.
- The windows on this website show sample data, not real conversations.
